Constructed in the 1850s, Indian Lake is the second largest inland lake in Ohio with 30 miles of shoreline. Two villages are located on the lake: Russells Point and Lakeview in northwestern Ohio in Logan County. Huntsville and Belle Center are also nearby towns.
Russells Point has 1,600 residents and is located along Indian Lake. Full time and summer residents call this village home.
Lakeview is located on Indian Lake with 1,100 full time and summer residents. Old Field Beach is part of Lakeview and is a popular destination during the summer. Many of Indian Lake’s annual events are held here. Downtown Lakeview has interesting shops and restaurants to explore.
Belle Center is east of Indian Lake and has just under 1,000 residents. It’s known as “Tree City” because of the wide variety of tree species. Belle Center offers warm, small-town charm.
Huntsville is south of Indian Lake. It’s a small village with under 500 residents along State Routes 274, 117 and US Route 33.
